A third EOR operation is currently under construction, and will be sourcing CO2 from the ethanol plant “Bonanza Energy” in Garden City, Kansas. The plant is owned by Conestoga Energy Partners and the project is operated by PetroSantander Inc, an oil company based in Houston, Texas.

Up to 140 000 tonnes of CO2 per year will be pipelined to the Stuart Field, which is located 24 km to the north east. As in the Chaparral project, the project budget relies on income from increased oil production. The cost for the project has been announced to be between 17 and 20 million USD.
