The contribution of storage cost to thewas found to range from US$6–13 per tonne of CO2 depending on whether the ‘good’ or ‘poorer’ option was considered.
For the case of the ‘poor reservoir’ storage option being applied for NGCC, the storage cost contribution to LCOE us lower than for the other power generation applications. This can be attributed to the volumes of CO2 from an NGCC facility being approximately half of that of the others. This has a lesser impact for the ‘good reservoir’ case as the number of wells required to inject greater volumes of CO2 under this case do not vary significantly.
