GE scores Swedish wind double
US manufacturer GE has signed a deal to supply its 2.85-103 turbines at two wind projects in Sweden totalling 37MW. Eight machines will be installed at Vardar Vind’s 22.8MW Rögle wind farm and five at Västraby Gård Energi’s 14.25MW Västraby scheme. Both projects are sited in southern Sweden, some 80km north of Malmö, and share a common grid connection. “GE’s wind turbines are well suited to our sites and GE’s flexibility in structuring supporting services has been critical,” said Vardar Vind managing director Kristin Ankile.
